United Way of Northwest Alabama is hosting a Witches Ride through downtown Florence on Thursday, October 24th at 6:00pm starting at Wilson Park. We hope to have several hundred women and men, dressed as witches and warlocks riding bicycles, golf carts, or walking with brooms, as they throw candy to children. This is a fundraiser for United Way's Dolly Parton's Imagination Library project.
In addition to the Witches Ride, we are also planning an after-party in downtown Florence. Participating restaurants will each offer a mini signature cocktail or mocktail and bite size appetizers. We invite you to join us for this fun afterparty, as well!
The cost for each participant is $35 (which is the cost to sponsor one child for one year for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library), whether you choose to walk, ride a bike, or bring a golf cart! Each participant on a golf cart must pay a registration fee.
